LIVING REAL

I sat down to listen to all the rave and vexation her friend keep pouring out of her buccal cavity, not minding the swear words and profanity therein (*ouch!). And my friend sat meekly, not interrupting, not blinking, just lapping all the wrong advices you can come up with to give to a married woman that has caught the husband cheating.....

Since her friend was taking her time with her unsolicited advices, I stood up, went for a glass of water and something to nibble on. Hmmmm, come to think of it, this vibrating mama sita isnt married, why in the world would my friend ask her for solutions to marrital issues, ofcourse what she will tell her is crap and more crap... typical!

I know my friend wouldn't want to entertain my patience and forgiving sermon at the moment, so maybe I better switch on the tv, make myself confortable and watch a movie before I take my leave ( something tell menot to leave her alone just yet). It was difficult to shut the conversation from my ears, but i did and watched the movie "vow"( on cable oo, very ironic considering the situation at hand).

Such a nice movie ( if you haven't watch it, go rent one or buy one; no pirate copy please :D), almost to the end of the movie, i picked a word from the mother of the star actress(that just found out her father cheated on her friend, which was the reason she left home), she asked her mother why she still stayed with her father after what he did, and she replied, that she choose to stay because of the many good things he has done, and not divorce him because of the one mistake, the one wrong he did!!!
Very simply put, dont trash it because it is broken or messed up, fix it!

I couldn't rewind the movie for my friend to watch or listen to that particular script,( no PVR). By the time I was done with my movie, 'Advicer General' has left to attend to whatever she went for, I sat on the coffee table across my friend, look her straight in the eyes and told her one thing ' its your home gal, you either mend it or break it, you dont need external advice, you know ur man, get him back, fix what is broken, dont nag it or trash it'

I stood up and demanded to have something to eat--like correct amala and efo riro with ogufe doing azonto in the plate of soup. No long talk!
